Minchinhampton common is an area of outstanding natural beauty, National Trust land, and a world heritage site. The three beautiful Minchinhampton golf courses, the old course and two new courses, available nearby to play a full 18-hole game.
The Old Course is situated in the delightful Cotswold’s, about three miles from Stroud. It is 1.5 miles from Burleigh Court Hotel – a five-minute drive. Established in 1889, it was one of the earliest clubs to be formed in the West of England. There is no sand or water, just natural hazards such as the Bulwarks and quarries that reflect the history of the area. Cows wander the Common from May to October.
Minchinhampton Old Course has been referred to as ‘a small club with a big heart’ where visitors and members are assured a very warm welcome.
Minchinhampton New Course was opened with the Avening course in 1975 and the Cherington course in 1995. They are situated approximately three miles from the Old Course. With a total of three courses Minchinhampton Golf Club is one of the largest courses in the South West.
