The Best Christmas Afternoon Tea in Gloucestershire
This countryside retreat in the Golden Valley is one of Muddy’s favourite haunts, and the festive afternoon tea is an absolute corker. Settle in beside a roaring fire in the newly refurbed sitting room with squishy sofas or book outdoor in the heated marquee with firepit.
You’ll get three tiers made up of finger sandwiches (we loved the seasonal turkey and cranberry ones), still-warm scones with cream and jam, and one of the best cake plates we’ve feasted our eyes on, including mini mince pies, themed Battenburg, marshmallow snowmen and chocolate reindeer cakes. And of course your choice of tea. I went for the Rhubarb and Vanilla one and it was delicious. Open all week, price £21.
We love such a geniune, delightful review of our signature Christmas afternoon tea. If you’d also like to make this festive period extra special book you and your friends an Afternoon Tea at Burleigh Court Hotel.
